CREATING WITH ME

Whether this is your first time working with a professional photographer or your zillionth time. We are all different, I cannot express this enough. As humans, what we see, how we work, how we use our time, how we interact... the list goes on and on. I want you to know up front what you can expect. You'll hear me say this often, I put a huge emphasis on my personal relationship with you. I am honored when you choose me to document your day. From that moment we have created a friendship and I'm a damn good friend! So lets get real on what you can expect out of me.

Rox, as your photographer!: I'm not a hands off photographer. I want to get to know you, learn about you, CONNECT with you, so I can relate to you and give you the best experience ever. I want to wash away your insecurities so that you will be so comfortable in some moments you will forget I am even there photographing you!

I can pretty much guarantee you will see me cry at some point. Yep, no shame in my emotional game. Whether they are tears from laugher or joy, it's bound to happen. Oh yeah, if there are any Daddy/daughter moments.. well, you just pulled on all my heart strings and you can bet there will be some tears I'll be trying to hold back behind my camera. I'm a Pisces what can I say, always up in my feelings.

You're not just another check on my list. I truly care about my couples and I don't want to be just another vendor for you. We can't create magical moments that way. From here on out consider us the three best friends that anyone could have!

I"ll be your confidant when you just need to vent about all that's happening. Weddings can bring out the crazy in all!

What matters to you matters to me!

If you value my art, creativity, knowledge, and everything else I have to offer, then we're going to be a great fit! If you're interested in a good deal, then we probably won't be a great fit. And that's OK!
Who is my ideal client?: I LOVE working with laid-back, down to earth, KIND, adventures people. I love my couples to be open to unposed, raw emotion, laughing until we're crying, booty grabs, and adventures. I Love couples who are are willing to get a little dirty to create unforgettable moments. I love when they really know what the day is all about. Don't get me wrong, I'm married, and know the stresses of pleasing and planning and how that can have an affect on you and your mood. Girl, I have been there! Thats where I come in to alleviate those stresses for you and refocus you back to what your day is all about, you and your bae!

I dig a good sense of humor, laughing until you snort, walking hand in hand, being swept off your feet, eskimo kisses, and windy days. I want to capture the true you in all of your beauty and weirdness. I will never discriminate against any couples based on sexuality, gender, religion, race, etc. I love EVERYONE... as long as you have a kind heart!
What is my "style" of photography?: I love capturing real, romantic, emotive, moments as they happen. I try to avoid posing as much as possible however some people work better with directions. Let's face it, being in front of a camera doesn't come natural for most peolple. If I find that that describes you then I will prompt you and bae into poses and give you direction to make sure you two feel more comfortable so we can see that beautiful love you share. No time for those stiff awkward posed photos {Insert - what do I do with my hands!} Usually after the first 15 minutes you become more relaxed and the rest of the session is smooth sailing. Oh and I will ALWAYS have some jams for us to listen to.

I am very confidant in my ability to read you as my client. This helps me mold our session to your needs to insure our time together is FIRE and your experience with me is amazing. If you haven't noticed by looking at my photos, reading all about me, stalking me on my social media or just knowing me in general......NEWS FLASH, I LOVE, LOVE and there cant be love with out a connection. I'm the biggest sucker for a good love story and I want to know yours! You better believe that there is going to be lots of cuddling, snuggling, kissing, and just in general a good time feeling connected as ever with your soon to be bae. If you don't jive with this style then we aren't meant for each other. I NEED SOME PDA in my sessions!
How would I describe my "editing"?: This can be a loaded question. Let's start with descriptive words. Moody, Romantic + Soulful. Depending on the season, the session, and the overall MOOD my editing style can change JUST A BIT. Whenever I go into editing a session or wedding I start with my same edits across the board. However some images and some sessions need a little more or a little less. I might want to go a little brighter or lighter when editing a newborn session opposed to being more contrasty and dark when editing an up close romantic embrace. These are just subtle changes to my base edit. All my work is cohesive, you know ITS MINE when you see it. I love WARMTH in photos. I cannot stress this enough. To me it pairs so well with my romantic, soulful vibe. It's Soooooo important to hire a photographer whose style you click with.

Now let's talk about photoshop. Listen, I'm a firm believer in loving yourself! Call it body positivity or whatever you want, just embrace who you are and let's rock n roll! Life is to short. I want to know what you love best about your features and your insecurities so that I can capture you in your best light, TO YOU! I get it, I have features I'm not the most fond of and I have features that I really enjoy! Do I accentuate my "cons"... no. BUT, I don't photo shop them out either. So heres the deal, I won't make your arms look thinner, I won't take your waste in, I won't make your butt look bigger, I won't photoshop your noes, etc etc etc.. you get the point. What I WILL do is shower you with compliments, tell you how gorgeous you are, how sweet you and baes love is for each other, highlight your favorite features and give you such an amazing experience that even if you do notice your insecurities in your photos it will only be for split second and then your eyes will focus on just how extraordinary your love is for each other and you'll be messaging me to BLOW THAT PRINT UP! Its going on the wall! Feel me? Good!
